We strongly advise that you use a reputable firm that has fulfilled the membership criteria for the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA) or is a registered member of the Institute for Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
The simple test of whether your operator does a good job is:
